Balloon Festival!

I mentioned in my last blog that we were going to be doing something cool this weekend if the weather permitted. We woke up around 5 A.M to a beautiful day and headed to Roswell to the Oldtimers Balloon Festival. It was wonderful! I have so many pictures to post so I'm just going to get right to it.

This was such a great festival. I loved being able to be right there on the field as the balloons were being inflated and watching them take off. It was a perfect day. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. No, I would love to do that but I don't think they were doing that today, unless you were part of a crew. We might do that some day, too. Fred and Jo Wishnie worked on a crew at the Gallup festival a few years ago and that looked like fun.

    1. Thank you, Nan! I thought I was probably breaking some kind of blogging rule by posting so many pictures but I couldn't help myself. Thanks again for the nice comment. It made me smile.

  3. We enjoyed a balloon festival in Presque Isle Maine the summer that we volunteered up there. But it was TINY, like 8 balloons!! We got to see them lift off and fly, and also watched a night show where they fired the burners in different sequences. Your show looks much more impressive!

  4. This festival had about 50 balloons, I think. We went to the Albuquerque festival a few years ago and that was amazing. They had hundreds of balloons. I loved it but I like the smaller festivals, too. We plan to hit some different balloon fests in our travels. There is one in Monument Valley that I would love to go to.

I hope your stay in Colorado is going well. I saw that you got snow the other day. brrrr
