Colorado

We left New Mexico the last week of July and headed to Colorado. On our way out we stopped at Fort Union so Larry could get his America The Beautiful Senior Pass.  The first three pictures today are from our stop at Fort Union.

On our way out of Fort Union we stopped to take a picture of these trail ruts along the Santa Fe Trail...
Our first stop in Colorado was in Trinidad at Trinidad State Park. This is the view from our campsite...
...and some pictures we took in downtown Trinidad...

Our next stop was in Pueblo Colorado at Lake Pueblo State Park. We loved this park and ended up staying there a week.

We went into downtown Pueblo to check out their Farmer's Market and found a nice riverwalk area...

Our final stop in Colorado was at John Martin Reservoir State Park. We liked all the Colorado State parks we stayed in but Lake Pueblo was our favorite.

Well, that's it for Colorado. We're in Kansas now and have been staying at some really nice Corps of Engineer parks for half price with Larry's new pass. I think we have one more stop in Kansas and then it's on to Missouri. I'll post my Kansas pictures in my next blog post.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoyed the pictures!
